TWO men have appeared in court after a passenger train ploughed into concrete posts and timber pallets which had been placed across the line.

Details of the “near miss” crash were read out at Nuneaton magistrates court yesterday when two men from Kingsbury in North Warwickshire faced charges of unlawfully and maliciously obstructing a railway line with intent to cause damage or injury.

They should have been charged with attempted murder
