Three released without charge after stabbing in Bell Green

Three women arrested in connection with a stabbing in Bell Green last month have been released without charge.

A 25-year-old man suffered a minor injury in the incident, which took place near the Seagull chip shop in Hall Green Road on August 9.

The women, aged 32, 22 and 20, were arrested on suspicion of wounding but after police investigated what happened they concluded that the women weren’t involved in the incident.

The man’s conditional was initially described as serious but stable but was soon upgraded.
