Broken down bus brings Coventry city centre to a standstill

Single-decker National Express conked out on a zebra crossing in Trinity Street
A broken down bus brought Coventry city centre to a standstill this afternoon.
The single-decker National Express conked out on a zebra crossing in Trinity Street at about midday.
It caused long queues of buses and traffic to stack up behind in Hales Street, Bishop Street, Corporation Street and Tower Street.
It meant paramedics struggled to reach an elderly woman who had collapsed in Trinity Street, and an elderly man who had fallen over outside the Old Grammar School.
