Plans have been submitted to build a new office block in the grounds of a listed building in Nuneaton.
An application to build a two storey office development on the grounds of The Old Vicarage, in Vicarage Street, has been submitted to Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.
The new development in the grounds of the Grade II listed building has been proposed by A R Cartwright Ltd.
The Old Vicarage is currently used as offices by the company.
The design and access statement submitted as part of the application states: "The proposed building is to form a suite of offices, suitable for current usage, and therefore having clear floor plates with larger clear areas than that possible within the existing listed building.
"The major design criteria are to complement the existing building without detracting from its 'presence', and to maintain the majority of the mature planting."
A decision is due to be made on the application by July 10. More about the application is available by visiting
