Train services between Nuneaton and Coventry have been hit after vandals cut through metal cables alongside the line.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “The damage was done in the Bedworth area and affected signalling.
“It was reported at 11am and engineers were soon on site to carry out repairs.
“While this was being done, no trains could run on the line, so a replacement bus service was laid on.
“The aim was to get the line re-opened as soon as possible.”
