Arsonists strike at another Coventry play area

Arsonists have spoiled another Coventry play area - by setting fire to a motorbike in a children’s maze.



The fire happened on Monday at 9.45pm in the play area on Cherrybrook Way in Bell Green.

Louts have left behind charred wooden posts and the scorched remains of a Mini Moto’s saddle.

One nearby resident said: “It’s a shame. The people that do this are from this area.

“It’ll be their younger siblings who play there, but they don’t care.''

Another resident, Maud Hill, 80, said: “They just can’t leave anything alone.

“I hear all sorts of things going on at night.

“The older boys are always breaking things so that the little ones can’t use the play area.”

Fire crews rushed to the scene last Monday and used a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
