Michael Schumacher in 'critical condition' after fall

Michael Shumacher is said to be in a 'critical condition' after suffering a head injury while skiing in Meribel earlier.
French sports website L'Equipe and French radio station RMC have quoted an unnamed medical source, saying Schumacher has suffered a cerebral haemorrhage and is now in critical condition at the hospital in Grenoble, France.
A specialist neurosurgeon from Paris has been brought in to oversee treatment of the 44-year-old German.
The seven-time Formula One world champion, 44, was treated at the scene after falling while skiing off-piste with friends. Schumacher was taken to the local Moutiers hospital before being transferred by helicopter to Grenoble. He was reportedly conscious throughout.
Schumacher’s spokeswoman Sabine Kehm declined to give specific information regarding the severity of the injury, although she did release a statement confirming that Schumacher was wearing a helmet at the time of the fall and that no other person was involved.
