Detectives investigating the attempted murder of a man in Coventry are looking into possible new leads given by Crimewatch viewers.
A reconstruction of events was shown on the BBC1 programme on Thursday.
The TV appeal had provided "some interesting leads to follow", a Warwickshire Police spokesman said.
A gunman smashed the driver's window of a BMW car and fired three shots at his 28-year-old victim in Narrowboat Close, Longford on 10 October 2007.
The victim was hit in the leg and spent weeks in hospital.
