Shock-jock Jon Gaunt is due to make an appearance in Coventry on Saturday at a stall campaigning for his new political party.
The former radio host and Sun columnist will host a stall with the UK Independence Party in Broadgate after announcing his latest plan to join as a campaigner at its recent party conference.
He said: “I’ve never voted UKIP before. I’ve voted for Tony Blair and I’ve voted for the Conservatives.”
He added: “When I was younger and ran Tic Toc I was left wing and I stood with the miners at Keresley but I think as I’ve got older my politics has matured.”
The stall will be in Broadgate from 10am to 2pm.
