I think this is a great idea - I know plenty of older folks who claim they don't speak to a soul all day - but the last time I called TT - I could barely understand a word they were saying :shock:

It was the kind of 'social service' that was offered by local post offices at one time but one which the government completely ignored in their quest to make dubious savings. I was often in a queue standing behind a pensioner being served who it was obvious hadn't spoken to another soul all week. The government is about to stop attendance allowance for people over 65 which will make them even more isolated.
