TRANSPORT authority Centro has vowed to return a Coventry bus service to Pool Meadow Bus Station.

The Telegraph reported Coun Bally Singh’s (Lab, Whoberley) concerns that the Number 2 bus which serves Allesley would not be returned to the main city station.

The Number 2 bus used to drop off there but this stop was relocated to Fairfax Street due to building work at the station.

This stop has now been relocated again to the Burges – but Centro insist this is only a temporary measure while road works are under way. The Number 2 bus is expected to stop at Pool Meadow again from May.

Mark Langford, of Centro, said: “The Number 2 service is currently not running into Pool Meadow bus station because of roadworks in Fairfax Street which would affect punctuality.

“We are keen to see the service return to the station – as is the operator .

“The likelihood is this will be in late April when the bulk of the roadworks is scheduled to be complete.”

]I first emqired about shelters in farefax street & the burges lat july 2012.
Recieved a E-mail 3 wks later that centro and bus operators looking into opening another entrance to pool meadow which has recently opened this last couple of weeks plus erected a shelter in the burges and relocating those servrices to pool meadow,
What do they do. relocate servive 2 to the burges (drunks corner) all those services that used farefax street returned to pool meadow on a revised rout I cant see why the 2 could not do the same route into pool meadow.
All I can say is the officials two faced liars the reason to be a more reliable service,
Yesterday for instance 26/2/13 went to catch No2 at 9-30am nothing, 9-45am nothing at 9-50am 3 service 2.s turn up together thats what you call a reliable service as, as is a 15 min frewuency service
Will believe it when 2 retuns to pool meadow ,

Attended Whoberley Forum 28th march SERVICE 2 ALLESLEY PARK WILL not go into the bus station till June 8th 2013 delayed due to nthe road works in farefax street ( another porky from centro)
Also possible Service 2 revert to the old 23,

THERE AGAIN BELIEVE IT WNEN IT HAPPENS
