New restaurant planned for busy Coventry road

Postby dutchman » Fri Jan 04, 2013 9:49 pm

PLANS have been submitted for a new restaurant on a busy Coventry road.

Parvez Akhter is hoping to open the restaurant, which would not sell alcohol, behind his Opus Foods shop at the junction of Foleshill Road and Holmsdale Road.

The application, which has been submitted to the city council, is for an extension behind the shop, which would be used as a restaurant.

Permission has also been requested to change the use of the top floor of the building to a restaurant and function room.

It is proposed that a new staircase would provide access to the second floor while the shop is shut.

The plan will be considered by officers later this month.
