Postby dutchman » Tue Nov 27, 2012 2:53 pm

POLICE have launched an investigation after three men were stabbed outside a Coventry nightspot.

Officers were called to the Skydome in the city centre just before 4am on Sunday.

The three men who were stabbed are all believed to be in their 30s.

Police said all three were taken to hospital with stab wounds to the back and abdomen.

Although serious, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

It is believed that some of the men returned home to an address in the north of the city before calling ambulance crews.

A 20-year-old man who is understood to have tried to help the three victims also later went to hospital with a knife injury to his hand.

Detectives have launched an investigation into the stabbing, but say circumstances around the incident are still unclear.

They are appealing for anyone who was near the entertainment complex on Saturday night into Sunday morning and may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

Similarly, anyone who has any information which may help officers with their enquiries is being asked to call police.

If you can help call Coventry Police on the new non-emergency number 101.

Alternatively, if you wish to give evidence anonymously, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
