Coventry marks Older People's Day with series of events

COVENTRY is running a series of activities to mark United Nations International Day for Older People.

The Day is being held on October 1 but Coventry will kick off the celebrations with a tea dance on Saturday September 29 from 2-4pm at the Jardine Crescent Young People’s Centre.

On Monday October 1 the Belgrade Theatre is hosting a special Arts and Older People Symposium from 10am-4pm which will showcase its creative gymnasium project, aimed at people aged over 50. Coventry Methodist Central Hall is hosting a Big Skills Share Lunch from 11am-2pm on October 3 where people can try out a range of free therapies.
