Bus passengers hurt in Holbrook crash

An accident between a bus and a car caused traffic delays in Holbrooks on Friday afternoon.



The single decker bendy bus was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra at the roundabout where Holbrook Lane and Holbrook Way meet.

The accident happened at around 1.40pm. Three passengers on the bus sustained minor injuries.

One person was treated at the scene for their injuries while two others complained of neck and back pain and were taken to University Hospital, Walsgrave, as a precaution. No one in the car was injured.

The crash caused traffic delays on Holbrook Lane and Lockhurst Lane for up to an hour.

One resident in Holbrook Lane, who did not want to be named, said: “I was just coming back home from having lunch with my partner when I saw all the chaos.

“It was chaotic with all the traffic moving into one lane and then the ambulances and police turned up.”
