River Leam flood warning in place after heavy rain

A flood warning for the River Leam in Warwickshire has been issued by the Environment Agency following heavy rain overnight.

The stretch of the river most at risk passes through the villages of Eathorpe, Hunningham and Offchurch.

The agency said the water level was expected to continue to rise through the afternoon and early evening.

Flood alerts are in place along other parts of the river as well as the rivers Anker, Avon, Swift and Stour.

River Leam flood warning lifted

A flood warning for the River Leam in Warwickshire issued by the Environment Agency has been lifted.

The agency said a flood alert for low-lying land and roads between Stanford and Rugby, including Lilbourne and Clay Coton areas, remained in place.

An alert has also been issued for low-lying land and roads between Grandborough and Leamington, including Long Itchington.

Flood alerts along the Anker, Avon, Swift and Stour have been lifted.
