Visitors will be able to see the restored cottage, which dates from 1455, and hear talks about the life of John Croke, the weaver, who lived there in 1540.

The building has been restored by the Spon End Building Preservation Trust.

Visitors will also be able to visit the early Tudor garden which have been restored by volunteers with a range of herbs and plants which would have been grown in the 16th century.

The open day will run from 11am-4pm. Light refreshments will be served to visitors throughout the day.

There is no charge for admission, but donations are welcome.
