Road engineers in Coventry filled in more than 1,200 potholes last week.
Councillor Hazel Noonan, cabinet member for city services, said the recent spell of wintry weather had caused pothole problems all over the city.
A council hotline took over 513 calls from members of the public reporting potholes and nine teams of workers were despatched to make the repairs.
She said a programme of works was also in place to make other repairs to roads in the city.
