Hospital in Coventry partially lifts visiting ban

Postby dutchman » Wed Jan 27, 2010 10:12 pm

Visitors have been allowed back to most areas of a hospital in Coventry after the winter vomiting bug spread across three wards.

The town's University Hospital banned all visitors on Friday after NHS chiefs confirmed the outbreak of Norovirus.

Managers have now lifted restrictions on people visiting all wards except Ward 1, Ward 2a/2b and Ward 33.

People can inquire about patients on the wards still affected by telephoning the hospital between 1400 and 1500 GMT.

The hospital said the situation was being reviewed daily.
