Three arrested over Coventry machete attack raid

Three men have now been arrested after a man and his daughter were seriously injured in their home near Coventry by burglars wielding a machete.

The 42-year-old man was left with what police have called "life changing" head injuries, after the attack on Hill Road in Keresley End on 29 February.

Two men arrested last week on suspicion of attempted murder have been released on police bail.

A third man was arrested on Wednesday morning.

The injured man remains in hospital. His 18-year-old daughter, who got a gash on her arm, has been discharged.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who saw a silver car or who may have seen any discarded knives or clothing nearby.

They are also investigating similarities with an attempted robbery in which men wearing balaclavas and armed with weapons threatened the householder in Hope Close in Keresley End on 13 February.
