Gang Digger Smash in Coventry
Posted: Fri Jan 27, 2012 2:50 pmThieves have used a digger to smash through a wall and steal a cashpoint in Coventry.
It happened overnight, next to the Spar on Banner Lane in Banner Brook Park at 1:30am.
A gang took the digger from a construction site nearby.
Richard lives above the store and woke up as it was happening:
“Using the digger they managed to lift the whole lot – and dropped it onto the back of a flatbed van.
“The whole building was shaking, it felt like it could fall down.”
Police are appealing for witnesses.
