Householders in Nuneaton and Bedworth have a change of routine for their waste collections over the festive period.
For the weeks beginning Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2, the wheelie bins will be emptied one day later than normal. This even applies to residents whose bin collection day is usually a Friday, as the refuse and recycling teams will be working on Saturdays for those two weeks.
Coun Bill Sheppard, the cabinet member responsible for the waste collection service, said: “A large amount of waste and recycling is generated in households over the festive period so it is important that no home misses out on a bin collection, as has sometimes happened in the past.”
