Pedestrian hit by vehicle on edge of Coventry dies

A man died when he was hit by a vehicle on the outskirts of Coventry.

The 58-year-old pedestrian, from the Keresley Green area of the city, was hit on Watery Lane shortly before 18:30 GMT on Tuesday.

The man suffered serious head injuries and West Midlands Ambulance Service said he had been confirmed dead at the scene.

A 49-year-old driver stopped following the incident and has been interviewed by police officers.
