Thursday morning's arrests, as part of Operation Laser, bring the total so far to 31.

Officers visited 11 addresses in the town at 06:30 GMT. All those arrested were held on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

Three women and eight men were taken to Leamington police station.

'Not the end'

Those arrested are aged from their early 20s to their late 40s.

On Tuesday, Warwickshire Police, assisted by officers from West Mercia Police, arrested 20 people in Rugby, areas of the West Midlands and London.

Det Ch Insp Andy Nolan, senior investigating officer for Operation Laser, said that those arrests were "not the end of it".

A 23-year old male was released on police bail pending further inquiries, while 18 people, aged between 25 and 47, were charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

They appeared at Nuneaton Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Thirteen people were remanded in custody, with five released on conditional bail.

A man from London was due to appear before the court on Thursday, charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
