Council takes on new parking role in Nuneaton and Bedworth
Posted: Sat Nov 05, 2011 3:29 pmWarwickshire County Council is to take over responsibility for on-street parking enforcement from the police in Nuneaton and Bedworth.
From Monday, motorists will be issued with penalty charge notices of up to £70 for parking illegally or dangerously, a spokesman said.
Enforcement will be carried out by Rugby Borough Council, on behalf of the county council.
The council took on parking enforcement from the police in Rugby in 2006.
