Former Coventry Bees captain Chris Harris says he did not hesitate in agreeing to return to the line-up for next season.
The Grand Prix rider has been racing for Belle Vue this season but is the first Bees rider confirmed for 2012.
"We did the deal quite quick and easy," said the 28-year-old.
"This is always going to be my first choice. I live down the road, everything's here and I know all the people well."
Harris lifted the Elite League title with the Bees in 2010 but was released to race for Belle Vue this year to allow Coventry to keep within the points average limit.
He believes the experience has been beneficial.
"It's been a tough time at Belle Vue but I enjoyed it up there and learned a lot," the Cornishman added.
"It's probably done me good to be away from Coventry and it's benefited everyone."
