A man has admitted murdering a Coventry dad found dead in a lake.
39-year old Jason Bissell – who had two children and lived in Coombe Fields - was discovered at Lanny’s Lagoon Fishery at Stretton under Fosse near Rugby in October, two days after he was reported missing.
A post-mortem found he had died of head injuries.
43-year old Peter Hood from Vernon’s Lane in Nuneaton had denied murder up until the first day of his trial, when he changed his plea to guilty.
He will be sentenced at a later date.
His co-accused, 41-year old Joanne Griffiths from Bridgeacre Gardens in Coventry, has pleaded not guilty and her trial will resume next Thursday at Birmingham Crown Court.
