Cov bus attack

Police in Coventry try to trace bus attacker who assaulted a female passenger as they rode home.



The incident occurred on Thursday September 8 2011 between 1850hrs-1920hrs, as the victim, a 23 year old woman, was on the Number 12 Bus from Pool Meadow bus station in Coventry City Centre to Leamington Spa.

A man got on the bus and sat next to her and indecently assaulted her. He is described as an Asian male, 35yrs-40yrs, short black hair brushed back, facial stubble, medium build -5″9′-5″10′.

Officers have released a CCTV image of the man they would like to trace.

DC Lindsey Seeley from Coventry Adult Public Protection Unit said: ” It is believed the offender travelled all the way from Pool Meadow Coventry to Leamington Spa. The victim got off at a stop in Earlsdon.”

“I would like to appeal for anyone who recognises the image of the man to contact us, or anyone who may have been on the bus and saw the incident or saw the man to come forward.”
