Coventry Blaze beat Hull Stingrays in overtime
Posted: Mon Sep 19, 2011 9:54 pmJohn Gordon netted an overtime winner as Coventry Blaze won 3-2 at Hull Stingrays on Sunday to secure their second successive four-point weekend.
Robert Farmer put Blaze ahead only for Jason Silverthorn to level.
Coventry regained the lead thanks to Greg Owen and, although Dimitri Rodin equalised, defenceman Gordon grabbed a winner 30 seconds into overtime.
Blaze beat Stingrays 6-3 at the Skydome the previous night in the Elite League, with Owen Fussey scoring a hat-trick.
Good to see at least one Coventty team winning
