Driver dies crashing into quarry
Posted: Fri Sep 16, 2011 6:54 pmA motorist has been killed when his car left and road and crashed into a quarry in Warwickshire.
The driver, who has not yet been named by police, was declared dead at the scene of the accident on the A426 Rugby Road near Southam.
A police spokesman said a blue Renault Clio travelling from Rugby towards Southam left the road and collided with some trees before going down an embankment into a quarry.
Witnesses who saw the Renault on the A426 are urged to contact Pc Mick Hogan, of Warwickshire Police, on 01926 415415.
That's the second fatal accident in nine days on that stretch of road!
