Elderly man hit by bus in Coventry

An elderly man has been taken to hospital after being hit by a bus in Coventry city centre this morning.



The man, who is believed to be in his 70s, was walking across the road between Trinity Street and Hales Street, at about 8.15am when he was involved in an accident with a Stagecoach bus.

He was taken to Coventry’s University Hospital after suffering from head injuries.

All buses have been diverted away from the scene and back onto the ring road. Delays are expected.
