Police in Warwickshire are selling off some of the items they’ve found over the years.
Items recovered or found by Warwickshire officers will be published on the site.
Each item has been in police possession for at least 12 months and has only been put forward for auction after all lines of enquiry to trace the owner has been exhausted.
The site is based on an ‘ebay’ type auction and by clicking on to
http://www.bumblebeeauctions.co.uk, a large collection of items published by approximately seventeen police forces can be viewed. Only an image and description of each item will be published.
Each item is auctioned for seven days and the bids start at £1. To bid for an item you need to register and follow the instructions on the screen.
Once an item is sold the winning bidder should print a receipt and take it to the station where the property is stored.
The items are bought with a disclaimer attached which meets fully with trading standards.
