A stressed building society manager from Coventry has gone missing after failing to turn up for a counselling session.

Graham Emery, of Ravensdale Road in Wyken, had been off work for several weeks and was due to attend a meeting on Monday to discuss his future.

However, the 44-year-old didn’t turn up to the 1pm session and has not been seen since.

Now police are asking for the public’s help to trace the missing Coventry father-of-two.

It is understood Mr Emery – a manager with Coventry building society – left his home at about 9am in his blue Toyota Avensis, with the registration number FG58 OPA.

PC Robert Horton, of Coventry Police, said: “We know Mr Emery had been struggling with depression and was worried about his career.

"Although he left in good spirits that morning, he has since gone missing and not contacted any family or friends since Monday morning. Everyone is concerned for his wellbeing.”

Mr Emery is about 5ft 10in with a stocky build and receding, thinning brown hair and blue eyes.

He was wearing khaki trousers, a t-shirt and beige suede shoes when he was last seen.

“I’d ask anyone who believes they may have seen Mr Emery, or spotted his car, to contact me as soon as possible, “said PC Horton.

“He left his phone and passport at home and, as we don’t believe he has access to a great deal of money, suspect he is still in the local area.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Horton at Coventry Police on 0345 113 5000.

Missing Coventry Building Society manager turns up safe at home

A FATHER from Coventry who went missing this week has turned up safe.

Graham Emery of Ravensdale Road, Wyken, returned to his wife of 21 years and two teenage children at 8pm last night.

The 44-year-old Coventry Building Society manager disappeared on Monday leaving a note saying he would be “back in a while”.

Police said he arrived back having been sleeping rough in the Binley area of the city and had been taken to University Hospital as a precaution.

Inspector Stan Carvell said: “He isn’t really in a state to tell us anything yet but he just turned up of his own accord.”
