Midfielder Adam Walker opened the scoring with Guy Hadland doubling the lead before the break.

James Armson put the result beyond doubt while substitute keeper Sam Slater saved a late penalty.

No supporters were allowed into the ground after Boro took the advice of various authorities including police and the Football Association.

Leamington were beaten 3-1 at the New Windmill by a youthful Birmingham City XI.

A brace from Blues trialist Taylor Morgan either side of an Eddy Gnahore strike was enough to see off a brave performance from Brakes.

Tom Berwick equalised from the spot after just nine minutes.

Leamington striker Jacob Blythe was carried off on the half-hour mark and could miss the start of the season.
