Ranjit Singh (pictured)- who was also known as Bitu, was rushed to hospital with severe head injuries but died the morning after he was discovered at Mawnan Close in Exhall last June.

He never regained consciousness.

51-year old Onkar Singh Chhokar from Mawnan Close is accused of murder and GBH with intent, along with 55-year old Balkar Singh Chima, from The Copse in Exhall, who failed in a bid to have the charges against him dropped.

Both men deny the charges and will appear at Birmingham Crown Court. The trial is expected to last 3 weeks.
