A man arrested on suspicion of murder over the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a bus has been released on police bail.The victim, aged 40, was struck by a Stagecoach bus in Bath Street, Leamington Spa, at 2330 BST on Friday.
Police arrested a 47-year-old man and urged witnesses who had seen the two pedestrians together prior to the incident to get in touch.
The man was released pending further inquiries, police said.
The death is being treated as suspicious.
Earlier, a police spokesman said: "Police investigating the circumstances of the man's death would like to hear from anyone who was in Bath Street between 11pm and 11.30pm near to All Saints Church and the shops on the opposite side of the street on Friday night, especially anyone who may have seen two men together prior to the incident."
