The government has been in Coventry to announce a £20 million package to help firms here sell things abroad. It is hoped the extra money will let them trade with countries around the world, as well as safeguarding jobs here.

Baroness Hanham met with bosses at the city’s university – who started the project – at the city’s uni earlier.
She told Mercia it will help Coventry move away from being known as a “motor city”:
“Coventry was almost a single industry city.
“It’s got to learn that it’s going to have to do other things and have growth in other areas and I think it’s doing a fantastic job.”
