A privately owned castle will be opened to the public this weekend to raise cash for a nearby church.
Maxstoke Castle in Castle Lane, Maxstoke (near Coleshill) will be open from 11am-5pm on Sunday.
The castle has been owned by the same family for 400 years and is usually only opened for one day a year.
Current owner Michael Featherstone-Dilke said: “Maxstoke Castle is a fine example of a 14th century moated castle and is surrounded by four to five acres of gardens.”
Entry costs £6.50 for adults and £4 for concessions.
Proceeds go to Maxstoke Church, and the National Garden Scheme.
