Energy firm E.On is to shed 175 jobs as a result of "economic conditions".
The company, which has its UK headquarters in Coventry, said the majority of the roles would be lost from the West Midlands area.
A spokeswoman said: "The roles will come from a mix of areas including gas service and maintenance and facilities management."
She added the decision had come about after a review of the property services area of the business.
She said: "We have decided to exit a number of areas that we were previously active in.
"This will result in a number of internal changes to the business, with 175 employees leaving E.On.
"The changes have come about as a result of economic conditions."
