It's just an excuse to replace skilled, well-paid firemen with less-skilled, less-well paid "firefighters". :roll:

If the government had its way the entire fire service would be staffed with unpaid, part-time volunteers!

In the meantime they completely ignore the growing army of fit young men who have never worked a day since leaving school. :fuming:
