I could be mistaken but after sniffing around the internet I got the impression that Coventry has some of the highest charges for collecting non-standard items such as electrical appliances? It's nearly £18 for many items and bear in mind that those without cars to take stuff to the recycling bank in person are also likely to be those on the lowest incomes such as pensioners and the disabled. Until these charges are abolished I fear that fly-tipping will continue unabated.
