A man has been hurt and 21 others had to be evacuated when a double-decker bus caught fire this morning on the A45 near Coventry.
It was completely gutted after a blaze (pictured) which is thought to have started in the engine just after 11am near Stonebridge Island.
Everyone inside had safely got off before fire crews arrived and a man was treated by paramedics for a cut hand.
The fire forced the closure of the A45 between the A452 Kenilworth Road and the M42 at junction 6 for Birmingham Airport for over an hour.
All the passengers were able to get onto a replacement service and continued their journey.
The road is still closed westboung towards Birmingham for clean-up work.
