Warwick Castle said a record 3,700 people checked out their unusual job advert online when they put out a call for a “consultant dragonologist” to work in the venue’s new Merlin-inspired Dragon Tower.
Leamington-based Rose was among 30 shortlisted for the role. And she certainly has the background for the job.
She said: “I grew up in a small mining village in Scotland called Shotts which is famous for its giant and I was always fascinated by myths and legends.”
The dragon from TV’s Merlin is moving from Camelot to Warwickshire for the castle’s new attraction.
Visitors will be able to interact with the dragon with the help of a magic mirror.
