A camera with family photos including a wedding and a 100th birthday party has been found at a recycling site in Warwickshire.

Staff at the site in Princes Drive, Leamington Spa, found the camera in a bag in a skip and have kept it in case the owner comes forward.

The camera is a Kodak Easyshare and also contains photos of days out and helicopters.

A spokesman said it was likely the camera had been thrown away by mistake.

The camera was discovered as staff from site manager HW Martin Waste Ltd sorted through bags of rubbish in the skips.

Glenn Fleet, group manager, waste management, said the camera obviously contained some treasured family memories.

"We are appealing for the owner of this camera to come forward so that we can return it," he said.

Last April, staff at the site reunited a man with his wedding ring after they spent two days sifting through rubbish looking for it.
