The Border Agency got a tip-off that the men were employed by Jasmine Court in Lower Hillmorton Road.

They arrested an 18-year old from China and a 42-year old in a raid last Thursday.

The younger worker’s been is in custody while the older man’s been released on bail as officials prepare to deport them.

The company was given an on-the-spot penalty notice and could be fined £20,000 if they can’t prove that they carried out the right checks before taking them on.

Alison Spowage, assistant director for the UK Border Agency in Warwickshire said: “Any business that takes on a foreign national without permission to work should be aware that it is breaking the law as well as undermining law-abiding employers. Rogue businesses should be warned that they face heavy fines and could end up in jail.

“We will continue to crack down on companies that employ illegal workers and fail to carry out proper checks on passports and other identity documents.

“We would urge the public to get in touch with us if they have information about suspected immigration abuse.”

900 illegal immigrants have been removed from Warwickshire and the West Midlands since April last year.
