Police break up mass brawl in Nuneaton

Police reinforcements were called in to quell a mass brawl in Nuneaton town centre.



It broke out in Bridge Street, near the George Eliot pub, shortly after 7.30pm on Saturday.

A large crowd was involved and police from Nuneaton were joined by colleagues from Bedworth, Atherstone, Coleshill and Rugby.

One man is reported to have suffered a broken arm. A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public order offences and another was held for drunken behaviour.

Police are checking CCTV footage.
