Girl in hospital after being hit by car in Coventry

A girl was taken to hospital earlier this morning (Tuesday) after she collided with a car in Coventry.



The incident happened near traffic lights on Clifford Bridge Road in Walsgrave at 8.10am.

Ambulance crews and police officers were sent to the collision.

A Coventry police spokesman said the driver stopped at the scene and a girl, believed to be 11 years old, was taken to hospital.

The extent of her injuries are not yet known.
