Toy shop opens at 4am to help mother

A toy shop in Italy opened at 4am on Christmas morning to help a mother whose presents were stolen.

Reuters reports that after putting her children to bed on Christmas Eve, the woman went to the storage area of her apartment block where she had hidden the gifts.

After discovering that the presents had been stolen, she started travelling around all-night petrol stations to find some replacement toys for her daughters.

When the police met the woman and learnt about the theft, they contacted the owner of a toy shop near Turin.

He agreed to open his store at 4am so that the mother could purchase some gifts for her family.
