Waterstones has announced that its Cathedral Lanes branch will close on Sunday.
It is understood that staff were told yesterday about the closure.
A total of 11 Waterstones stores will close on Sunday including similar branches in Dublin, Stafford and Colchester.
The book retailer will still have a presence in the city centre, on Smithford Way
