A gang of visiting football fans became involved in a street brawl after causing trouble outside a Nuneaton bar.
The Redditch United followers – in town for Saturday’s match against Nuneaton Town – started hurling bottles and waste bins at the windows of Kelly’s on Attleborough Green.
After smashing a panel in the front door, they were repelled by some of the regulars drinking inside.
Fighting broke out in the street and as the troublemakers fled, police arrived on the scene.
There were six arrests and three hospital casualties – all believed to be from the Redditch area.
One of those injured needed treatment for a badly gashed head.
The group had been drinking in several pubs on their way to Attleborough, before the Blue Square League fixture at the nearby stadium in Liberty Way.
